God Damnit Steam

Answer me this Steam, why do you always do the good deals when I have just spent loads of money? Due to bills, food and mystery games you’ll get to hear about at weekend, I have spent a lot of money this week. To top that off I have friends visiting so I’ll spend MORE money tomorrow AND I was planning on preordering the Wallace and Gromit Telltale games. But then all of a sudden Gabe Newell appears and says “You’ve spent a lot this week haven’t you? WELL HERE IS A DEAL YOU CAN’T REFUSE!” And then he puts the two Oddworld games on Steam for £2.25.

Now granted this isn’t a lot of money, but the point is that if I buy these games I won’t play them due to having loads of games to play already but if I don’t buy them I will regret it in the future. ESSENTIALLY MEANING THAT MY CHOICES ARE REGRET IT LATER OR THROW SOME MONEY AWAY.

Birthday Present get

This game still doesn’t have a release date in Europe you know. I love region free consoles.
Also is it just me or when you eat food and then walk into a partner does Kirby kiss the partner? Is he meant to be regurgitating the food or something?

So now that Halo Wars is out in America..

Has anyone else actually got the game or am I still the only person on my friends list and perhaps the entire world that actually has it?
If any of you do have it we should totally play some time, although keep in mind I’m only at mission 8 so I would probably be shit online.

So I just got an e-mail from Game saying that my copy of Halo Wars has been shipped which, from past experience, means I could recieve it on Thursday or as early as tomorrow.

I love it when games come out in Europe first.

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO VISIT GAMETRAILERS

Not one, not two, but THREE ace trailers for games I want came out on the internet today. I’m sure you’ve all seen the Mass Effect 2 one but did you see the trailers for Overlord II and Overlord: Dark Legend? I thought not! Go sit in the corner and think about what you’ve done what you haven’t done.
Or just, you know, watch them.

I haven’t posted in about an eon

But don’t worry, I am still alive. I’ve just had assignment deadlines and last minute work and stuff.
Expect a proper post soon. Maybe a rage post about the DSi again or Pokemon Platinum’s Europe release date.

I now want to play Overlord Wii more

Despite me being a complete Overlord fanboy (And perhaps the only one), I was originally wary of the Wii one because, let’s be honest, third party Wii games are usually crap. But I just saw some videos of it (that came out last August rofl) and actually looks alright. Also it’s being made by an English developer, and we all know how great English devs are. Not only that, but a recent interview with the devs shows that they know what they are doing, with them even saying this: “There’s always the temptation with Wii games to stick big heads in, cel-shade it, and make it a mini-game collection. But we wanted to make a hardcore Overlord game.”

Fuck yes

So Microsoft still haven’t announced this week’s Live Arcade game yet

I’m calling it now, it’s either a shit game or no game at all.

Unpaid advert of the month

Chances are that if you go to the Escapist website it’s to watch Zero Puncuation but as I’ve mentioned in the past, there are other good things on it. And here’s another thing I like I thought I should point out. I love cheesy over the top humor like they use in this series, so go take a look if you have nothing better to do one day. The series is released every other Thursday which means that if you watch Unforgotten Realms then you have something to watch every Thursday.

Unskippable is also fun.
