If Luvdisc really gets an evolution in Pokemon Black and White then there is something very wrong with the 5th gen.

Look what I came across today when I decided to try and catch Ho-Oh. Either I am incredibly lucky or the game is just repaying me for going 500+ hours in Platinum and not seeing one but this is my second shiny in the same game so far after the Linoone I got last month. I mean, they are both the bad normal types you get at the start of the game, but beggars can’t be choosers I guess.

So today two new legendary Pokemon were revealed but that’s not really important (To be honest, they look a bit like Digimon to me). What is important is NoE have given a date of Spring 2011 for the games in the UK which is about the same time HGSS came out and is awesome.

Also it’s Eurovision tomorrow so that’s good too.

Oh God oh God oh God

So I was walking around Mt Silver earlier today looking for an Absol or Larvitar or something cool when ALL OF A SUDDEN this appears:

OH GOD A SHINY POKEMON THIS IS SO AWESOME

This brings my total number of shiny Pokemon (not including the Red Gyarados and event Pichu) up to four. The previous three being a shiny Tentacool I found on the original Silver, a blue Slowbro I found in Leafgreen and a shiny Budew I spent hours getting on Pearl using the Pokeradar.

A new Youtube video from me…. kinda

So I recently took part in a Pokemon tournament online where, unfortunately, I got knocked out in the second round. Thanks to a wondrous item called the VS Recorder, the guy who hosted the tournament has put up videos on Youtube of some of the matches, one of which is my first round victory which you can see below. Since the video isn’t on my account, you might as well just use this blog post for video comments.




As you can probably guess, I used my Platinum team in the tournament since I have still yet to finish SoulSilver. Speaking of which, it’s time for a team update:

Is it me or does it take forever to grind in this game?

The team so far

I’m just about ready to head towards the 8th gym on Soul Silver so it’s time for a team update since it has changed a fair bit since the last post.

First things first, Flaffy has been dropped from the team for sucking too much. Whenever I used it in a trainer battle it died, even in some battles against water and flying types. Wooper (Now a Quagsire) had been in my team up until the 7th gym until I realised that the next gym is a dragon gym and I need ice moves, so I decided to catch a Lapras and train that instead for now but I may swap it back in later. Other new additions include Espeon and Misdreavus who have managed to help me quite a bit against Team Rocket and various gyms, I might have to swap one of them out though as I have a big weakness to dark types at the moment. Bellsprout also evolved but that’s not important, what is important is that Brobat is now a majestic Crobat who still manages to save the day.

So that’s my team so far, what is everyone else’s looking like?

Pokeymans time

So Pokemon Soul Silver arrived on Thursday and I’ve been playing the hell out of it so far. I just got to Goldenrod City and my current party consists of a Wooper, Bellsprout, Cyndaquil, Flaafy, Zubat and Oddish (HM Slave). There’s a little story behind that Zubat so let me explain.

I think I’m ready for SoulSilver now

To kill time while SoulSilver is released in the UK, I’ve been working on a little project.
I now have one of every Pokemon (Apart from Lugia, Ho-Oh and Celebi) stored in the PC on Pokemon Platinum.

Just inject Generation 5 directly into my veins Nintendo.

Quick question

Does anyone still check this blog? If so post in the comments. With SoulSilver out next week I could potentially start posting again, but I’d prefer not to talk to myself.
